Dan Carroll - Director, Board of Directors
Mr. Carroll was an original investor in Smart Disc.  Mr. Carroll took over as CEO of Smart Disc in 2007 as part of management team changes.  Dan has owned and successfully grown businesses in the last 20 years  in multiple global market segments in the areas of manufacturing and technology Mr. Carroll received a B.S. from Georgetown University in 1987 and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1996.

Terry Fiscus - Director, Board of Directors
Mr. Fiscus became a member of the board and Chief Financial Officer in 2007.  During his career he has served as CFO in  manufacturing  and e-learning market segments as well as a management consultant specializing in corporate turnarounds and explosive growth opportunities.  Mr. Fiscus serves on the board of directors of privately held businesses in the areas of e-learning, medical device development, e-procurement and aftermarket manufacturing. He received his B.S. degree from Oakland University, Rochester, MI  in 1984 and in 1998 earned his masters degree from Michigan State University’s Executive M.B.A. program.

James Gerchow - Director, Board of Directors
Mr. Gerchow started his career as an apprenticed journeyman toolmaker and rapidly ascended to a managerial roll at Bronson Precision Products.  After 20 years as the VP/General Manager of Bronson Precision Products, Jim was promoted to President of Precision Machining Components, LLC.  In 2007 Jim, was named Chief Development Officer of Smart Disc. Over the last 35 years Mr. Gerchow has developed a very high level of expertise in both materials and processing of complicated tight tolerance precision manufactured components as well as been awarded patents for some of his product designs.

Ross Simmonds - Director, Board of Directors
Mr. Simmonds’ executive experience includes work with a number of innovative spine and orthopedic companies, including serving as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, Sales and Distribution for Interpore Cross International.  No stranger to the clinical community, he has also served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President for Long Beach Memorial and Miller Children’s Hospitals.  Prior to taking his current post as CEO of SpineOvations, Simmonds served as Chief Operating Officer at Alphatec Spine.
